Female Casting Considerations

I am looking for somebody who is able to attend all of the filming dates and be able to travel through to Bridlington for every session. I am looking for someone who comes across as a friendly person, innocent looking and smiley. I would like them to have acting experience due to the nature of the role and the fact that they would have to be intimate with my male character. It would be preferable if they knew each other. I would need someone around the age of 15-25.
Each of my considered females fit the age range and also visually fit the recquirements of the role.
LUCY WRIGHT

I used Lucy because she lives in Bridlington and was available at weekends to film. She was also very enthusiastic and eager to help. She has acting experience and also knows Jasper very well, therefore she would be able to act intimately with him and make it look realistic.

BETH CHRISTLOW
I used Beth because she lives in Bridlington and was available at weekends to film. She was also very enthusiastic and eager to help. She has acting experience and also knows Jasper very well, therefore she would be able to act intimately with him and make it look realistic.
HOLLIE ANDREWS
I was unable to use Hollie due to her limited availability and the fact that she couldn't travel through to Bridlington for the filming process. She also had a lack of acting experience and didn't know any of the males i was considering well.

Male Casting Considerations

I am looking for somebody who is able to attend all of the filming dates and be able to travel through to Bridlington for every session. I am looking for someone who has a sinister face [sharp cheekbones for example] and has had acting experience making him able to engage with the role. Because it is important for me to make it clear to the audience that he is a cannibal, acting experience would be vital.  I would need someone aged between 17 and 28.
All of my considered males fit the age criteria.

JASPER HILL

I used Jasper because he lives in Bridlington and was available at weekends to film. He was also very enthusiastic and eager to help. He has acting experience and also knows Beth and Lucy very well, therefore he would be able to act intimately with them and make it look realistic. Not only this, but visually he was perfect for the role because he was able to act sinister on demand.

ROBERT GIBBS

I was unable to use Rob due to his limited availability and the fact that he couldn't travel through to Bridlington for the filming process. He also had a lack of acting experience and didn't know any of the females i was considering well.

RILEY WONG

I was unable to use Riley due to his limited availability and the fact that he couldn't travel through to Bridlington for the filming process. He also had a lack of acting experience and didn't know any of the females i was considering well. He also looked too friendly for the part of a cannibal.

Audience Feedback Questionnaire

I have composed a few questions in a questionnaire for some of my audience to complete.

Did you understand the narrative of the film?

Did you expect the male protagonist to eat the first female character?

How did you feel when you found out the male protagonist was a cannibal?

What emotions did you feel towards the female characters?

What emotions did you feel towards the male character?

How did the second piece of music make you feel?

Were there any indications, in the first part of the film, to suggest that something wasn’t right?

What aspects did you like and dislike about the way the film was created?

How do you think the film could be improved?

I filmed two spectators response to the questionnaire.

Poster for my Film

I have used this shot because it is alluring and would entice an audience to watch the film because of the juxtaposition between two facial expressions. Audiences would ponder as to why she was happy and he looked sinister. Also the desaturation and increased shadows adds to the sinister feeling about the poster. I used red text to juxtapose the optimistic language used in the title and it screams danger.

The poster suggests that the film contains conventions of a horror film. This is what i intended because it advises that the idea of the film will not suit people that do not like strong themes. I would like to keep the storyline of the film a secret so that the realisation that he is eating her is mor effective.

This poster resembles more of an Arthouse film which was my aim, and focuses the attention on my niche marketing audeince rather than aiming to appeal to a large Blockbuster audience.
